Girdwood

Girdwood, Alaska

Though it is best known for it's skiing attraction, Alyeska Resort, Girdwood has much to offer all year around. Originally established as a mining town Girdwood flourished until the 1964 earthquake which sunk the orginal townsite below the water. Now it is a a thriving community with much to offer from world class skiing in the Winter to white water rafting and festivals in the Summer.

The Blueberry Festival, Forest Fair, Fungus Fair, Oktoberfest, and the Spring Carnival are all celebrations held in Girdwood. Stop in and check out the Alyeska Resort page for details on events and shows.

If you are looking for a home away from home, Girdwood is a choice location to find a cabin to buy or rent. I am happy to help you search for a home in Anchorage to be your new home or a home-away-from-home.
