The communities of Peters Creek, Chugiak, and Eklutna are located between the city of Anchorage and the Matanuska Valley. This area has grown by leaps and bounds in the last 50 years and is fast becoming a suburb of Anchorage, a more country setting for folks who want a little more elbow room.

Two of the major attractions for this area are Mirror Lake day use park and the largest shooting range in Alaska located in Chugiak.

One of the biggest reasons people love this area is it's easy commute location to either Wasilla/Palmer and Anchorage. The Glenn Hwy passes through this area giving the locals ease of access to work and play.
